I saw on the code that phpbb2 uses table. So i'm afraid that it'll not be possible. :(:
This is the part of the reason why i hate this version. LOL :3:

Since Phpbb2, using table type, are really the worst and really hard to customize. LOL. :D:
Try to ask in FM. I don't know if anyone there could give you a solution but give it a try! :):
